In the last few months I’ve been researching various green juice recipes, and found a great one by Raw Food Coach, Karen Knowler. We don’t have the high-powered juicer she uses, but our Waring Pro juicer did a wonderful job just the same.
After reading the countless benefits of green juice we decided to try it out. I am totally hooked. My husband and I have decided to make this part of our daily routine.
What we used:
- 6 oz. baby spinach
- 5 stalks celery
- 1 granny smith apple
- 1 cucumber
- 2 bunches of kale
- 4 carrots
- 1/2 lemon (1 full lemon if you’d like an extra kick)
Note: To remove the toxins from the veggies, we soaked them 1 part water to 1/4 part vinegar for 15 minutes. This is especially important if the vegetables and fruits are not organic.
In less than 5 minutes we had two full servings of vitamins and minerals to last us throughout the day!

So my critical question is, how much EtOH can I put in there & it still be healthy?
Hi Harold,
Thanks so much for your comment! There are countless nutrients that can be found in each of these ingredients. Surprisingly enough, the spinach and kale have a huge amount of protein. As for ETOH, I don’t know for sure.
